While low-cost airlines are wondering how to increase surcharges and push more seats, first-class travel is becoming more comfortable.
American Airlines says that 70% of its revenue comes from 25% of passengers, in other words, the flight is paid for by first class.
Statistics from the International Air Transport Association show that first-class passengers make up only 8% of all passengers, but they carry 27% of revenue.
