What is this type of insurance?
Commercial receivables insurance offers coverage of the risk of non-payment by debtors when conducting business in Bulgaria or abroad. Covered risks are the trade risks (insolvency and late payment) related to Bulgarian and foreign buyers. The subject of the insurance are payments under commercial transactions with a period of deferred payment
The tariff numbers (the Insurance Premium) are determined after an analysis of the financial condition of the debtors and the risk assumed by the Insurer, as the insurance premium is accrued on the realized sales under the conditions of deferred payment.
Commercial receivables insurance is taken out by specialized insurance companies and is based on risk investigation by providing a completed questionnaire and information about debtors.
