Traveling to Greece by car can cost us a fine of up to 8,000 euros. A similar punishment has already been received by our compatriot in our southern neighbor. What we do not know about the requirements of Greek legislation and how Bulgaria is trying to solve the problem showed a team of "Nova News".

If we are stopped by police in Greece and for some reason they want to clarify the ownership of the car, we are obliged to present them with the big registration card. In Bulgaria we are not obliged to carry it with us. If the car is leased, we do not have a large coupon at all.

9523 euros and 20 cents - such a fine was taken by a driver of a minibus traveling through the town of Serres empty to Bulgaria. A team of 5 traffic police stopped him for inspection. The bus was bought on lease. The driver presented a copy of the large coupon, because the original is with the lessor. The police immediately removed the numbers and began to write the fine without the right to appeal. For the third month the minibus has been parked in Sofia without a number and is not in use.

All necessary documents include a certified copy of the driver's employment contract, translated into Greek. If not available, prepare another 300 euros. Don't forget to bring the contract for leasing or renting the car, otherwise you will say goodbye to another 3000 euros.

The injured Bulgarian alerted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and filed a complaint with the Ministry of Interior, but to no avail.
