An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 on the Richter scale was registered on the territory of Bulgaria, the European Seismological Center announced.
The quake was felt at 7.14 this morning with an epicenter 9 southwest of Dospat, 48 km west of Smolyan and 140 km southeast of Sofia, with a depth of 5 km.
According to the Geophysical Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the earthquake had a magnitude of 2.5 on the Richter scale with an epicenter northeast of the village of Lyubcha and southwest of Dospat.
There are no data on casualties and material damage.
On August 28, two earthquakes were registered near Satova. One was felt at 9.48 am with a magnitude of 4 on the Richter scale, and the other at 11.43 am with a magnitude of 3.7.
