"WINTER" campaign starts.
The Traffic Police has launched mass inspections to check whether the drivers of the vehicles are prepared for the winter season. The traffic police will monitor the condition of the lights, wipers, tires, as well as the heating in the cars.
There is no legal requirement to drive with winter tires. However, the tread depth must be above 1.6 mm.
In case of a violation, drivers will be fined from BGN 20 to BGN 50.
