This year’s event saw a record number of participants from across Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Ukraine. A total of 600 talented gymnasts took part in the 19th edition of the tournament, held in Stara Zagora from September 30 to October 2. The official opening took place on October 1 at the Stara Zagora Sports Hall.
“I'm happy to welcome you to sunny Stara Zagora. I wish you all good health and the best of luck,” said Petya Petkova, Chair of the Impala Rhythmic Gymnastics Sports Club. She received a special plaque on behalf of Iliana Raeva, President of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation. The opening ceremony also featured a traditional folklore performance by the children of the Zagorche Ensemble.
This year also marked the judging debut of Neviana Vladinova as head judge, who welcomed the participants and officially opened the championship.
