Its goal is a cleaner and healthier living environment
International Earth Day is the largest non-religious holiday in the world, celebrated by more than half a billion people.
Earth Day was first celebrated on April 22, 1970. in the United States and Canada. Then millions of North Americans took part in a large-scale demonstration and demanded that politicians include environmental protection in their priorities.
In 1990, the holiday of our planet was declared international, and Bulgaria was one of the first countries to join the celebration of Earth Day.
The main idea around which all people today are united is for a cleaner and healthier environment and for the preservation of life on the planet.
