Orange code for Western Bulgaria, torrents and storms await us image

Warning orange code is in force today for 11 districts of Western Bulgaria, announced the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of BAS. Dangerous rains and thunderstorms are coming in these parts of the country.

The warning is valid for the districts of Vidin, Vratsa, Montana, Lovech, Sofia - district, Sofia - city, Pernik, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik and Smolyan. Rainfall of 40-60 liters per square meter is expected.

The orange code is the penultimate degree of danger before the maximum - red. This means that the probability of human casualties and material damage is high.

A yellow code has been announced in the rest of the country. The expected precipitation there is up to 35 liters per square meter. Meteorologists warn to be careful, follow the detailed information about the weather conditions and follow the advice of the authorities.
