A few days ago, road checks were launched - with cameras and microphones. In order to limit the bribes of the gunmen, each stop will now be recorded by three cameras and two microphones mounted in the patrols and on the uniforms of the police.

In addition, police cars will be monitored in real time where they are through GPS. Only 20 cars equipped with cameras will be able to stop us on the road, and within 2 months video surveillance devices will be placed in a total of 120 patrols across the country.

One device shoots in front of the patrol, the second in the passenger compartment, and the third behind the car. The microphones on the police lapels also have a panic button to use in the event of an accident.

The recordings from the cameras will be stored for 30 days, and the patrolling police officers themselves will not have access to them, so as not to manipulate the footage. The measures were taken after an amateur video filmed a katadzhia taking a bribe from a driver. The goal is to eradicate corruption on the road, NTV explains.
