The best-selling new car in the world for 2016. is the Japanese sedan Toyota Corolla, according to statistics made by Focus2move.

The Japanese company has realized 1,316,283 sales of the Corolla model for the past year. 3.6% less than in 2015, when Toyota sold 1,365,394 sedans.

In second place in the sales rankings is the American pickup Ford F - Series. The realized sales for 2016 are 993 779, with 7.6% more than in 2015.

In third place is the German hatchback Volkswagen Golf. In 2016 there was a decrease in sales compared to 2015 by 6.7%, and their number of cars sold was 991,414.

Fourth place went to Fort Fiesta with 300,528 new cars sold, 4.4% less than the previous year.

Peugeot 208 ranks seventh with 249,047 cars sold and an increase of 8%.

The 8th best-selling car in the world is the Nissan Qashkai. In 2016, it realized 234,340 car sales and a small growth of 0.9%.

The penultimate 9th place is assigned to Skoda Octavia with 230,255 new cars sold and a growth of 5.6%.

In the last 10th place is Renault Captur, which sells 217,105 cars, 11.1% more than in 2015.
