The General Directorate of the National Police announces that today, August 22, 2016 (Monday), mass inspections for speeding and valid Civil Liability Insurance will start on the territory of the whole country. The action will last until 28.08.2016. (Sunday).

I. Fines for speeding in SETTLEMENTS:
1. For exceeding by 10 km / h - with a fine of BGN 20;
2. For exceeding from 11 to 20 km / h - with a fine of BGN 50;
3. For exceeding from 21 to 30 km / h - with a fine of BGN 100;
4. For exceeding from 31 to 40 km / h - with a fine of BGN 200;
5. For exceeding over 40 km / h - with a fine of BGN 300;
6. For exceeding over 50 km / h - with a fine of BGN 350 and three months deprivation of the right to drive a motor vehicle, as for each additional 5 km / h exceeding 50 km / h the fine shall be increased by BGN 50.
II. Fines for speeding outside populated areas:
1. For exceeding by 10 km / h - with a fine of BGN 20;
2. For exceeding from 11 to 20 km / h - with a fine of BGN 50;
3. For exceeding from 21 to 30 km / h - with a fine of BGN 100;
4. For exceeding from 31 to 40 km / h - with a fine of BGN 150;
5. For exceeding from 41 to 50 km / h - with a fine of BGN 200;
6. For exceeding more than 50 km / h - with a fine of BGN 300, and for each additional 5 km / h exceeding 50 km / h the fine shall be increased by BGN 50.
