June snow surprised the people of Estonia, AFP reported.

For the first time such a thing happened 32 years ago on this date - June 17, 1982.

"Last night the temperatures dropped below zero and it snowed,"

explained the representative of the Estonian Meteorological Service Helve Matern. Usually the average temperatures in the Baltic country in June are between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius.

"This kind of anomaly may be due to climate change,

but we can't be sure, "Matern said.

The cold wave followed the great heat in May. Then in Estonia the temperatures reached 30 degrees Celsius.
