According to the forecasts of the European Flood Warning System, a serious rise in the level of the Danube and Maritsa rivers is expected - high and critical warning thresholds may be reached in some places.
Yellow code was announced for June 19 in 17 districts
of Northern and Eastern Bulgaria due to intense rainfall and thunderstorms.
The code is valid for the districts: Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Lovech, Pleven, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Razgrad, Targovishte, Shumen, Silistra, Dobrich, Varna, Burgas, Yambol and Sliven.
