Assistance for the victims of the flood in Varna's Asparuhovo district is being organized on Facebook. A group "Let's help Asparuhovo" was created especially for this purpose, and nearly 1000 users gathered in just a few hours.
"People of Varna should unite and help their fellow citizens from Asparuhovo, everyone with whatever they can," wrote its creator Kaloyan Georgiev on the group's wall.
At his suggestion, one of the emblems of Varna was chosen as a meeting point - the Cathedral of the Assumption. "Anyone who wants to help can come tomorrow at 10 o'clock in front of the visor, I hope we will gather with enough cars and move to help friends, acquaintances and relatives," Kaloyan added.
Several groups have already formed on the net with people willing to help.
However, people do not know exactly what to do to help those in need, BLIC reported.
So far, the idea of walking uncontrollably to the scene of the disaster is hardly the best thing, because it could lead to more victims, the volunteers say.
