Yesterday (27.01) access to Facebook and Instagram was suspended for about an hour. The suspension was felt all over the world.
Facebook denies this is due to a hacker attack. The company said it was an "internal error".
The problem started with Facebook and grew to Tinder and Hipchat.
Facebook denies that the reason for the suspension was the work of a hacker group that took responsibility.
The company commented that: "The problem was not due to a third party, but to our mistake. One of the changes we made to the site turned out to confuse its configurations. Both services are 100% online. "
Instead of accessing the site, users saw the caption for an hour: "Excuse us, there is a problem. We are working on it and it will be removed as soon as possible. "
Earlier in the day, messages appeared on the Twitter account of the hacker group Lizard Squad, suggesting that they were behind the problem. These are the hackers who attacked the sites of Sony Playstation and Microsoft last month.
