Initially, after the introduction of the bonus-malus system, the average price of the insurance premium will increase. This was said to journalists by Nikolay Zdravkov, Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers and moderator of the conference "Driving is also a responsibility", a reporter told FOCUS News Agency.

The average price of the insurance premium will inevitably increase, because at the moment the harmfulness factor is not reflected. Initially, there will be an increase in the average price of the insurance premium, but it will affect undisciplined drivers. Zdravkov could not say exactly how much the premium will increase, because it depends on an individual coefficient and depends on the behavior of each driver on the road.
"Currently we do not have a legislative initiative regarding changes in the Insurance Code and in the bonus-malus system, but the whole market is looking forward to this, because this is how the fair price for the population is determined. Those who drive safely will drive a little.

Insurers, consumers and all market participants expect the bonus-malus system ", Zdravkov explained. According to him, if a database is not compiled, all drivers will start with zero coefficient.
"Until the introduction of the bonus-malus system, the price of insurance depends on the free market. The average price on the market is BGN 182. The price must be determined by the insurer - what responsibilities he has taken, what reserves he has set aside ", added Nikolay Zdravkov.
