/ CROSS / The Mexican company Mastretta has announced that it plans to sell the updated version of its sports model MXT in Europe. The debut of the car will be a little later this year, and the premiere in Europe is scheduled for 2015.
Like the previous version, the new MXT will be produced in a modest series - 50 units per year, but interest in the production of Mastretta in South America is not lacking.
The big news with the MXT is that the car gets a 2-liter EcoBoost engine coming directly from the Focus ST. So far, the sports model has been equipped with the more modest 2-liter Duratec, also made by Ford.
In addition to changing the engine, the designers of the MXT have made the vehicle as light as possible - up to less than 1000 kilograms. In addition to the European market, the design of the front will be changed, which should be to the liking of the new group of buyers, to whom MXT will be offered, writes Autoclub.
