The quake had a magnitude of 4 on the Richter scale.
The quake's epicenter was 3km east of Satovcha and 55km west of Smolyan, 134km southeast of Sofia.
The quake was 10 kilometers deep.
At 11:43 a second earthquake was registered in the region of Satovcha. It had a magnitude of 3.7 degrees, at a depth of 2 km.
The quake's epicenter was 11km southeast of Satovcha, 44km north of Drama, Greece, 50km west of Smolyan and 142km southeast of Sofia.
Yesterday, at 6.35 am, an earthquake was also registered in the area. It had a magnitude of 2.5. Its epicenter was 2km north of Madan, 22km east of Smolyan.
