On Thursday, August 29, the construction of the Belokopitovo-Kaspichan section of the Hemus highway will begin, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) announced.
The total length of the section is 4,898 km. As part of it, the largest road junction in our country will be built - "Belokopitovo", through which the connection with road I-2 Ruse-Varna and road I-4 Koritna-Belokopitovo will be realized.
The project is under the "New Construction" program of RIA and is funded entirely by the state budget.
The contract is worth over BGN 65.7 million with VAT.
The construction and installation works will be performed by AM Cherno More AD, and the construction supervision will be performed by Patinvestinzhenering AD.
The symbolic first sod of the site, which will be made tomorrow near the village of Panayot Volov, will be attended by Eng. Lazar Lazarov, a member of the Management Board of RIA.
Meanwhile, the Montana Bypass Consortium is starting construction on a 12.5km bypass around Montana and is funded with BGN 46.5m from the EU Cohesion Fund and the Bulgarian budget, the Montana municipality said.
The road will pass through the lands of three neighboring Montana villages. There are two lanes for traffic in each direction.
