For today's December 29, weather forecasters announced a yellow code throughout the country. Snowfall is expected, accompanied by strong winds.

A strong to strong wind with gusts up to 20-25 m / sec will blow in all 28 areas. It will be accompanied by snowfall, which in turn will lead to blizzards and gusts. It also starts to get cold.

Morning temperatures will be the maximum for the day, and during the day they are expected to decrease, not increase. In the evening in Western Bulgaria they will fall to minus 8 degrees, and on the Black Sea coast just below zero.

Although the wind is expected to weaken on Tuesday, temperatures will drop further, with daily temperatures remaining negative. It will be mostly cloudy.

Heavy snowfalls were also warned by the Road Infrastructure Agency. From there, drivers who are about to travel today are advised to leave only with cars prepared for winter conditions.

Drivers of heavy motor vehicles and cars are advised to drive only with suitable tires, to drive at a reasonable speed and with caution, following the instructions of the control authorities.

Blocking traffic by vehicles that are not prepared for driving in winter conditions hinders the access of snow removal equipment and impedes the travel of all other drivers.

The 27 regional road administrations and the snow removal companies work on a 24-hour regime to maintain the national road network. The passes "Troyanski", "Zlatishki" and "Varbishki" are closed for traffic of all types of vehicles.

All citizens and transport companies can receive information about the current road conditions and winter maintenance of the national network from the website of RIA - www.api.bg, and at any time of the day on tel. 0700 130 20 in RIA.

The Situation Center operates in the agency all year round, under a 24-hour regime, which collects and summarizes the data on the condition of the national roads.
